Victory in Enniskillen (May 30, 2009)

Ballycoan won the MSR event at the County Fermanagh Championship. The band played its number one set in very warm, sunny conditions, taking first place for both piping and drumming out of four bands (two G2 bands). The band travels next to Carrickfergus for the County Antrim Championship.

Ballyclare Championship (May 23, 2009)

The band performed at the Championship in Ballyclare this Saturday. With tough weather conditions, the band had their first medley run of the season, playing the number two selection. In a field of three bands competing in Grade One (two G2 bands challenging up), the band took top honors. Next stop will be the County Fermanagh Championship in Enniskillen.

Scottish Championships 2009 (May 16, 2009)

Ballycoan competed in the first major of the season in Dumbarton. The band drew its number one MSR, finishing 10th out of 13 bands. The drummers however, walked away with a 4th place finish. The bands next appearance will be at the championship in Ballyclare.

Ballycoan Kicks Off 2009 Season at Dungannon Championship (May 09, 2009)

The band competed in it's first contest of the 09 season in Dungannon, Co Tyrone. The band had a solid run, playing it's number one MSR (Lord Alexander Kennedy, Bogan Lochan & Loch Carron) finishing third out of four in the grade one event. See the band next Saturday at the Scottish Championships in Dumbarton.
